The Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) was founded in 1974 and since that time has supported more than 460 students of color in pursuit of a doctoral degree in sociology. Former MFP fellows have gone on to serve as presidents of the American Sociological Association, distinguished faculty, award-winning scholars and teachers, and influential social scientists working in goverment agencies, non-profits, and the business world.
The MFP Community is comprised of all current and former MFP fellows, plus all of the individuals and scholarly societies that have provided financial and organizational support for the program over the years. Unless noted otherwise, this page recognizes the individuals and organizations that have made donations to the MFP program between July 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020.
We invite you to participate in the MFP Community by making a donation today.
